Mission
The Center serves as a meeting place for physicists and engineers working in Optics and Photonics in Chile. The main purpose of the center is the development of permanent collaborative research capabilities between its members and the use of these capabilities in the national effort to achieve a competitive knowledge-based economy.
Vission
We envisage an internationally-recognized Center for Optics and Photonics. The Center hosts top quality research and promotes a strong collaboration with the productive sector through technological transfer programs. We envisage a Center in which collaboration pervades theoretical and experimental basic research, applied research and development, and training of human resources. The Center generates advances in fundamental and applied research and develops innovative solutions for the needs of the Chilean industrial clusters.
