Our main objectives are the growth of research lines in the areas of Optics and Photonics in Chile, and collaboration with the industrial sector to implement technology transfer and development programs of high social and economic impact.

As for our specific objectives, we plan to conserve and augment our scientific excellence; we will emphasize technology transfer related to other areas of the Chilean economy and society; we will continue our commitment with the professional formation of young scientists and to bolster new research groups.
